Everybody loves a Political Comedy laugh…

Small Screen Streaming service, Netflix, has announced chat their new 8-part political comedy, The Politician, will launch on all their platforms, on 27 September 2019.

Payton Hobart, played by Ben Platt, a wealthy student from Santa Barbara, California, has known since age seven that he’s going to be President of the United States. But first he’ll have to navigate the most treacherous political landscape of all: Saint Sebastian High School.

To get elected Student Body President, secure a spot at Harvard, and stay on his singular path to success, Payton will have to outsmart his ruthless classmates without sacrificing his own morality and carefully crafted image. Full of comedy and sly satire, Ryan Murphy’s The Politician offers a rare glimpse into just what it takes to make a politician.

The series regular stars include Ben Platt, Gwyneth Paltrow, Jessica Lange, Zoey Deutch, Lucy Boynton, Laura Dreyfuss, Rahne Jones, Theo Germaine, Julia Schlaepfer and Bob Balaban.  Also starring Dylan McDermott, January Jones, David Corenswet, Judith Light and Bette Midler.

The Politician was created and written by Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuk and Ian Brennan, with various episodic directors, Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuk, Janet Mock, Helen Hunt, Ian Brennan and Gwyneth Horder-Payton.  The show’s executive directors are Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuk, Ian Brennan, Alexis Martin Woodall, Ben Platt, Gwyneth Paltrow.
